Abstract
The article considers the role of entropy and analogy in the processes of language changes. Entropy in its projection on language is understood as a measure of disorder on different levels of language system. The presence of entropy in the lexical paradigm of nomination leads to the appearance of lacunae and lack of unification in the functioning of some grammatical forms. One of the means of overcoming entropy is the analogy factor, which enables to coin new units on analogy with existing ones and thus overcome cases of disorder. The interaction between entropy and analogy results in introducing changes into certain subsystems of the language. It enables us to conclude that entropy and analogy play an important role in the processes of language changes.
