Abstract

The article analyzes grammatical forms of addresses in diachronic and synchronic aspects. A brief description of the process of forming the paradigm of the grammatical category of respect is given. The functioning characteristics of the pronominal addresses in modern German are presented: Sie with the main semantic meaning of distance and du, ihr with the main semantics of familiarity.
