Abstract

The authors of the article study the concept of textual anomaly within the framework of the intertextual heraldic construction. The anomalous fragments with the ornithonym “parrot” in the original literary text “Flaubert’s Parrot” (1984) and in its translation made by A. Borisenko and V. Sonkin (2017) are analyzed. The analysis of textual anomalies with the ornithonym “parrot” included in the intertextual heraldic construction seems to be extremely important from the point of view of interpretation and identification of their implicit meanings. Such techniques as reduplication, recursion, outness are studied in the original text and in its translation. An attempt to prove the need to take into account intertextual inserts in the interpretation of textual anomalies is made.
