Abstract

The article deals with the features of studying medical discourse in comparative terms. Medical discourse is presented as a multidimensional, heterogeneous education in Russian and foreign linguistics. Medical discourse is considered from the standpoint of sociolinguistics, philosophy, and linguistics proper. Currently, linguistic studies focused on individual genres of medical discourse, written and oral texts. Suggestive techniques in medical discourse are noted, its term system is characterized, macro and micro genres are considered.
