The article discusses and reveals the features of the development of the tourism industry in Russia, describes the prospects and problems of Russian tourism, identifies the problems of inbound and domestic tourism in Russia. One of the important tasks of the development of tourism in Russia is the growth of inbound and domestic tourist flow, as this factor contributes to the inflow of financial resources, which is necessary for the growth of the country’s economy. The data on the number of Russian tourists inside and outside the country are presented. The reasons of decrease and increase of tourist flows in Russia are revealed and problems of tourism are in detail revealed. Russia, in the presence of its territory rich tourist facilities in the world tourism market does not occupy a leading position.
