Abstract

The aim of the article is to analyze and identify the features of discourtesy manifestation in the process of intercultural communication when using phraseological units in speech. Particular attention is paid to correlative and incorrelative phraseological language units. In the course of the study, phraseological units in Russian and English languages were analyzed; it was identified the use of which kind of these units can lead to discourtesy manifistation during interaction. The interpretation of the content meaning of such phraseological units will help to avoid communication failures and discourtesy manifestations during intercultural interaction.
