The article is devoted to the main difficulties in learning the Chinese language and in the practice of translation. The complex of the main problems that students of the Chinese language have is considered in the article. The first part of the work presents the main difficulties in the study of phonetics and hieroglyphics and suggests ways to overcome them. In the second part of the article, the author analyzes the main difficulties that arise when teaching the practical translation of the Chinese language: grammatical features, the presence of a certain number of similar hieroglyphs, the differencebetween colloquial and book styles, the presence of frame structures, binomization. The article provides recommendations for the prevention and correction of mistakes. These recommendations are based on the experience of Chinese teachers as well as personal observations.
