Abstract

The article discusses a number of questions related to the classification of parts of speech in a contrastive-typological aspect based on the German and Russian languages. The criteria distinguished by different authors for the classification of parts of speech are described, different approaches to the speech parts classifications are presented in various grammar of Russian and German. The article describes the status of the particles in the German and Russian languages, the results of particle status analysis in the classifications are presented.
