Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of creolized Internet texts through the lens of Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutics. The author examines two approaches: the hermeneutics of faith (restoring the author's intent through the unity of the text and the image) and the hermeneutics of suspicion (a critical deconstruction of hidden ideologies). Using examples of memes about productivity and choice, the author demonstrates how visual and textual elements form manipulative narratives-from the promotion of workaholism to gender stereotypes. The necessity of combining both methods for a comprehensive analysis of media texts is emphasized: a "trusting" reading reveals surface meanings, while a "suspicious" one uncovers the mechanisms behind viral content. The research shows that memes are not merely humor but a tool of ideological influence that requires competent decoding.
