Abstract

The aim of the article is to analyze the substantive aspect of the concept containing different degrees and subtleties of rudeness and disrespect manifestation. In the process of the study the linguistic units, which can cause a communicative failure in the process of interaction in the Russianand the English languages, were analyzed and selected. The authors made an attempt to identifyand classify the linguistic units related to the manifestation of discourtesy during speech interaction.In addition, the study helps to conclude that the context of communication itself plays a key role in the perception of all discourtesy manifestations.
