This paper is devoted to the relevant problem of communication of practicing lawyers. Within the framework of this problem, the authors consider the use of linguistic expertise of practicing lawyers. The paper provides a detailed analysis of the linguistic expertise in contracts. The authors examine the concept of linguistic expertise within the framework of communication theory, analyze the main goals and objectives, principles and stages of its implementation within the legal legislative framework. This paper also mentions The Kutafin Moscow state university of law, which offers original courses in legal linguistic expertise. In conclusion, the paper raises some problematic issues and determines directions for the further development of linguistic expertise in the multicultural space of the Internet texts and touches upon the involvement of new methods and specialists in legal linguistic expertise.
