Abstract

The article analyzes narration and renarration as instruments of proxy war and focuses on establishing different kinds of discourse with a view to describing relations between fictional and factual types of narration. Narration is defined in the paper as subjective constructing of a certain event in media sphere and renarration is understood as its reconstruction and rendering by means of a different language. The research aims at revealing differences between the two kinds of narrative presentation of the event, accounting for the causes of distinctions and disclosing intended speech impact on the audience as a result of various changes. The accent of the study is made on comparing generated senses arising in the narratives offering dissenting or contradictory pictures of the same event by subjective activization of semantic potential inherent in the history of the event.
