Metaphoric rethinking as the basis for the formation of the plant folk nomenclature (based on phloronyms with ornithological components representing domestic fowl)

Abstract
The article examines the nature of the metaphorical transfer, resulting in the enrichment of plant folk nomenclature. The research is based on phloronyms, containing ornithological components that represent names of domestic fowl. It is shown that the metaphorical transfer by appearance of the plant is a universal mechanism of ornithomorphization of phloronyms; at the same time, metaphorization can be realized drawing on cultural symbols, popular beliefs or ritual and gaming modes of behaviour.
