Abstract

The article considers the specific properties of images: imagery may be present to a greater or lesser extent, the image is expressive and evaluative, imagery is inherent in sensuality, images may have a plastic character. It is revealed that the emerging image (or outline) ensures the preservation of basic features in the created or existing object, as well as the fact that when describing imagery, it is impossible to circumvent such a stereotypical generalization mechanism as schematization, responsible for non-objective, abstract features that are formed around individual meanings of the word as integral.
