Abstract

The paper presents the results of the impact of follicle-stimulating hormone on the morphometric parameters of the ovaries of Wistar rats. During the study, the animals were intramuscularly injected with the drug GONAL-f at a dose of 1.5 IU. The data obtained showed that the use (for 7 days) of follicle-stimulating hormone causes an increase in the mass of the ovaries of rats, a decrease in the thickness of the protein membrane of the gonads, a decrease in the number of primordial follicles, as well as an increase in the number of atretic follicles and cysts. These changes may be associated with the violation of the structure and functioning of the ovaries, as well as the dysfunction of the neuroendocrine system.
