Abstract

The article discusses the word “kusmán”, the part of the Russian children’s jargon. The author analyzes its semantics and the features of its use in spoken language, the features of fixation in different dictionaries, examples of functioning in fiction in Russian and Belarusian. The word is compared with a number of synonyms of the same root in dialectal origin.
