Abstract
The article discusses the issue of determining the best option for investing in a company’s human capital. Factors affecting the general human capital and issues of investment in the training of company personnel are taken into account, which can be carried out through a corporate training system or a formal education system. The article deals with the cyclical nature of the process of effective training and development in a company, which consists of four phases. The issue of motivating employees for retraining through the system of professional standards is analyzed.
