Abstract

The article defines the concept of poetic discourse on the basis of an analytical review of the main approaches to its interpretation, their advantages and disadvantages. The aspects and characteristics of poetic discourse that determine its specificity in the English-speaking and Russian-speaking linguocultural traditions are indicated.
