Abstract

The article deals with the linguistic phenomenon of angonyms in speech and in fiction, is determined by the conditions of occurrence agnonymic situation. Agnonymia is considered from the point of view of the non-Russian reader. The works of S. Yesenin are the research material. Agnonyms are divided into several grammatical and thematic groups: obsolete names of peasant household items, names of plants and birds, metaphors and epithets, colloquial verbs etc.
