Abstract
Nursing female rats of Wistar lines (6-8 days after delivery) were placed in the arena of the “open field” together with the cubs. Parameters such as horizontal and vertical activity, the latent period of the first transfer and the first approach, the total number of approaches and transfers were evaluated under red light conditions. Indicators of maternal behavior in red light were compared with indicators in bright light. In bright light, the maternal motivation was stronger.
