Abstract
The work is devoted to the study of morphometric parameters of rat’s ovaries in normal state and in case of absence epilepsy. For the first time a comparative analysis of the ovaries of female Wistar and WAG/Rij rats, which represent a genetic model of generalized absence epilepsy in humans has been performe. It was experimentally found that in female WAG/Rij rats the structural and morphometric changes are observed, which may be associated both with impaired endocrine function of rat ovaries, and with the process of folliculogenesis.
