Abstract

The article dwells on the formation and development of German surnames. The research is based on the material of “German surnames” be A. Heintze, P. Cascorbi, which functions as etymological and historical dictionary. The author analyzes ethnic-linguistic belonging and motivational features in old German and modern antroponymicon.
