Abstract


The village of Bashkirs of the Yalan-Tungaur (southern Tungaur) family - the village of Valitovo was founded in 1844 by the inhabitants of the Kuvatovo village of the Tungaur parish of the 9th Bashkir canton of the yurt foreman Alibay Iralyn on their own lands. The aul is named after the founder - Valit Irgalin Kuvatov, grandson of the foreman of the Tungaur parish, Pugachev Kuvat Khasanov. Gataulla Abdulmalikov Alibayev (1836-1914), a well-known Bashkir religious leader, a follower of Sufism, a Muslim scholar and ishan of the Nakshbandi order in Islam, a close friend and soul-mate of the famous sheikh Zaynulla-ishan Rasulev, was born and lived in the village.
