Abstract

The article investigates the world experience in the creation of scientific and educational centers of the world level. The advantages and disadvantages of existing approaches to the creation of world-class universities were studied. It is shown that at the present stage in the Russian Federation it is advisable to create world-class scientific and educational centers in the form of consortia of scientific and educational institutions. It is shown that world-class universities should be small, in which the share of master’s and postgraduate students was not less than 50%.
