Abstract
The complexation of the plant-derived polymer pectin with the antibiotic aminoglycoside series amikacin sulfate has been proved by IR spectroscopy. It has been found that the interaction between the components under study proceeds through the interaction of the carboxyl groups of pectin with the amino groups of the drug substance.
