Abstract

The possibility of using of secondary polypropylene from various manufacturers in a polymer composite materials was investigated. Interpretation of IR-spectra and results of iodometric analysis of samples of secondary polypropylene made it possible to make assumptions about the degree of their aging and the presence of certain types of modifying additives. It is established that the most suitable way of processing of secondary polypropylene materials is injection molding. To monitored quality indicators and characteristics of secondary polymeric raw materials, which must be prescribed when drawing up a process map and operating chart when creating a technology for the production of composite materials based on secondary polypropylene, we can include: the concentration of hydroperoxide groups, the results of IR-spectroscopy, the values of the melt flow index.
