Abstract
The article aims to analyse the notion “we” on the material of the Old English language. The investigation of the semantic structure of lexemes expressing the notion “we” in Old English helps to reveal the basic semantic components lying in the basis of the semantics of the corresponding lexemes and, accordingly, define the main archetypes of “we” in the mind of the modern speaker of English.
