Abstract

The article deals with the analysis of contradictory aspects of parts of speech classification based on the material of the Russian, English, German, French, Bashkir and Tartar languages. The author refers to the problem of intertransition and interpenetrability of parts of speech. The issue of the categorical status of the so-called parenthetical words is brought up. The researcher focuses on syncategorematic parts of speech (synsemantica) and diffuse type of differences between them. The significant role of adverbs in enriching syncategorymatic parts of speech in general, as well as particles in particular is emphasized. In conclusion the author specifies feasible aspects of further research into particles in typological plane.
