Abstract

In the article available in environmental law science research approaches to understanding the content of the term “state environmental policy”. Also draws attention to the question of the purpose of state environmental policy. In the Russian Federation today there are several political and legal documents, defining its strategic goal. Thus the objectives according to their contents vary. The author proposes to develop a single strategic objective, which is characterized by universality from the point of view of solving the complex challenges facing the government in the framework of its environmental policy. As such, it is proposed the preservation and restoration of the favourable status of the environment.
