Abstract

In this article, for the first time, literary borrowed words (terms) are considered on the material of the Balkar language. The purpose of the article is to study and analyze borrowed literary words (terms) in the Balkar language. The author analyzes foreign words (terms), which are given in Russian spelling in the sources and meet the criterion of regularity and frequency of use in the literary terminological system of the modern Karachay-Balkar language. A part of the terminological vocabulary of the Karachay-Balkar language is a layer of borrowings from the ancient languages (borrowings from the Latin). Attention is paid to Arabic-Persian borrowings, which occupy a significant place in the terminological vocabulary of the Turkic languages. Interdisciplinary connections are revealed, the process of systemic connections with other terms of different scientific fields (linguistics, folklore, mathematics, semiotics, etc.) is analyzed, the classification of the terminological system is carried out.
