The Russian conditions for the formation of shadow employment, the potential for shadow employment in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the territorial features of the spatio-temporal dynamics of the number of employees in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, territorial differences in the localization of manufacturing and mining industries in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the main provisions of the spatial development strategy of the Russian Federation, and the socio-economic development projects of the territories are considered.
