The article aims at exposing the peculiarities of metaphorical modelling of the linguistic view and political world on the issue of election discourse. The article reveals spheres of the most active metaphorical political expansion in terms of election campaign (“Domestic policy”, “Social policy”, “Economic policy”), the most frequent sources of metaphorization (“War”, “Travelling”), key metaphorical models of political election discourse (Development is travelling). The research is carried out on the material of the election campaign of the 2018 presidential candidate K. A. Sobchak.
