Abstract
Equivalence of translation is the main focus of the translator. Lexical equivalence does not always imply adequacy. From the cognitive point of view the linguistic worldview is a key notion in the translation features analysis that allows to solve the translation problems of the culture-bound elements. The article also describes the linguistic worldview, which is a large-scale multi-tiered notion that causes a lot of discussion in linguistics.
