Abstract

The article analyzes the dialect vocabulary in the prose of the well-known Chuvash writer-prose writer, publicist Vasily Antonov. On the material of the story “The grief of the old birch” (Wata khuran khurlăhĕ) dialect words are considered, the features of their functioning, also determined the type of dialectisms and compared them with the words of the literary language.
