Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the cultural and linguistic landscape of London on the example of the analysis of the works of the anonymous British graffiti artist Banksy. The city is considered in the article as a verbal-visual text that translates the culture, features of the mentality and worldview of the language community living in it. Street art and its subspecies of graffiti, being elements of the visual image of the city, are considered in the article as a means of urban communication, which is a two-way communication: an individual with society and society with an individual. This type of art allows to reflect the most important socio-political world problems.
