Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of formation of the semiotic space in literary texts. It is noted that the semiotic space of visual art performs structure-forming, meaning-forming and plotforming functions in the literary text. An attempt to determine the necessity of thorough analysis of intertextual elements conveying important shades of meanings is undertaken.
