Abstract
In the modern world, there is a growing interest in Russian as a foreign language, which is increasingly gaining international importance. Russian as a foreign language is taught in many non-linguistic universities in the country. The goal of teaching Russian as a foreign language in a modern non-linguistic university is professionally oriented education. The key methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language in a modern non-linguistic university change over time in accordance with emerging requirements in the field of education and professional activity. Russian non-linguistic universities that teach Russian as a foreign language are developing new educational materials that contribute to the language and professional training of foreign students.
