Abstract

The history of hermeneutical knowledge originates from the Bible and becomes the methodological basis for many sciences, including translation studies. Hermeneutics as a science is presented as a multidimensional discipline that includes such types as philological and linguistic, translation and intercultural hermeneutics. The article discusses these types of hermeneutical knowledge in detail, their methodological principles and how each of the presented types can help a linguist in mastering the space of the text and its translation.
