Abstract

This article is devoted to a typological study of verb-and-pronoun collocations in the syntactic structures of a number of European languages, such as English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Polish, Tatar, Bashkir (altogether 8 languages). The article specifically considers paradigmatic relations of personal pronouns functioning as the subject of an action, as well as its object which may represent a complex structure including both direct and indirect object, and brings to light specific strategies of the contrasted languages in localizing the different types of personal pronouns before or after the verb. The material of research consists of variously structured clauses in the individual languages representing a common language-etalon. The results of the investigation are adduced in illustrative tables.
