Abstract

The article discusses linguistic peculiarities of political discourse reflecting narrative features of its quality degradation in the process of event coverage. A political discourse degradation as a result of subjective approach is considered on the basis of destructive tenor of media texts. The author traces narrative devices used to create the author’s provocative message and disclosing their covert ideas, intent and disposition to produce a desirable communicative effect.
