Abstract


The article analyzes speech techniques that have a strong impact on the audience on the example of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s speech of on July 24, 2019, who officially became the British Prime Minister on that day. Paying special attention to the language tools involved in the speech of the political leader as a form of political discourse text, the author believes that the expressiveness of speech characterizes the politician as an experienced and self-confident person who is not afraid of change and is ready for serious political action.
