Abstract
Pronouns as well as units of other parts of speech are characterized by such paradigmatic relations as polysemy, synonymy and antonymy. It is necessary to introduce the term polycategoriality in relation to some units that can function as representatives of different parts of speech. In linguistic literature the term “homonymy” is used when it comes to formally identical units that refer to different parts of speech. Synonymy can be represented either between units of different categories of pronouns or within the same category.
