Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of archetypical perceptual oppositions, which have a rich estimated potential that distinguishes them from other types of perceptual oppositions. Stresses the importance of mythological ideas about the importance of the symptom of underlying perceptual opposition to the practical activity of man. The grounds allowing such opposition to unite into a single group are shown. The important role of symbolic meanings in the evaluative categorization of reality is emphasized.
