In the article the necessity of introduction in educational process of universities unsportsmanlike profile elective courses in badminton, aimed at forming social competence and the implementation of individual and differentiated approach to training. It is shown that the content of the author’s work program on the subject "Elective Courses of Physical Culture (badminton)", developed at the Bashkir State University, promotes the formation of the necessary competencies of students, promotes badminton as a sport and provides emotional physical and social improvement of the personality of students.
