Abstract

Modern German language, characterized by a complex structure of variability, reveals new forms of existence, the status of which now seems controversial. Among such phenomena is Kiezdeutsch, which arose in the middle of the nineties in the quarters of German cities with a mixed ethnic composition of their inhabitants, and became popular in the teenage and youth environment. This idiom caused a lively discussion not only in the professional environment of linguists, but also in modern German society.
