Abstract

The prototype of the new shell-and-tube heat exchanger considered in the article is a prospective alternative to other types of heat exchangers. In this heat exchanger, each tube has a corrugated surface and is curved in the form of an evolvent, and therefore it is difficult to clean tubes mechanically. Therefore, it was suggested to conduct an experiment that would show the degree of deposition of the dirty layer on the walls of the corrugated tube for comparison with a plane tube, which is used in standard heat exchangers.
