Abstract

The article deals with the correlation between two basic images of time reflected in the English language worldview - the linear and cyclic ones. The two models are shown in their interaction corresponding to a peculiar type of language logic consistency. The phenomenon is described as a cognitive solution which is parallel to that of scientific theoretical worldview exemplified by S. Hawking’s cosmological hypothesis.
