Abstract

The quantitative and ultrastructural analysis of the synapses are studied of the fifth layer of the primary somatosensory cortex (PSC) and the anterior cortical nucleus amygdala (CoA) brain rats WAG / Rij line. Rats WAG / Rij line is a model of human absence epilepsy. we identified different types of synapses: axo-somatic, axo-dendritic, axo-spiny, dendrodendritic and axo-axonal in the PSC and the CoA. Analyzed: the density of synapses (on 100 mkm2), the relative frequency of occurrence of asymmetric, symmetric, perforated and invaginated synapse size and shape of synaptic vesicles.
